Flight test category 2
Flight tests within the existing aircraft performance envelope; this corresponds broadly to “engineering flight test” of aircraft modifications that do not significantly modify the aircraft behaviour.
Flight test category 4
Flight tests that are not category one (determination or expansion of the envelope) or two (flights within the existing envelope), required in the case of an embodiment of a not yet approved design change that needs testing in flight, such as a radio upgrade
